Experimental activities mainly focus on the realization of active optoelectronic devices and nanoelectronic devices. Solar cell are realized by using both small molecules, polymers and Dyes. A 100 sqm clean room is under construction and two labs are devoted to the characterization of devices. Carbon nanotube based vacuum tubes are realized by using a interdipartimental consortium named MINAS. In vacuum tubes, CNTs are used as cold cathodes while grids and anodes are realized by using micromachining techniques.
